Are you caring for a loved one?

If you’re caring for a loved one, this group is a place for you to find the tools to manage the stress and overwhelming feelings you may have, while connecting with others who are also in a caregiving role. Whether you have an aging parent, a child with special needs, a loved one who is struggling with mental health, or a family member infected with/recovering from COVID-19,  this group can offer you a safe and supportive space to connect. Caregiving comes in many forms, but we share a common theme: how can we stay well & resilient as we face the often extremely stressful aspects of caring for one another.

What can I expect from this biweekly call?

Each week you’ll be welcomed by Karen Laing, an experienced facilitator and mindfulness teacher, and the founder of WisdomWay Institute, who will guide you in practices from the Mindful Caregiving toolkits that support people just like you who are compassionate, caring, and often struggling to balance it all. You will connect with others who are caregiving and come away with the tools you need to restore and to reconnect as you build resilience.

When do the calls take place?

Our Caregiver Support Calls will be help on the 2nd & 4th Friday of each month, from 10-11am CST. Calls will begin on Friday, June 12, 2020.

Upcoming discussion topics: Finding stability when things get rough; Resiliency in the time of COVID; Family communication: Making sense of conflicts and tensions; Emotional Saturation: What we can do to prevent burnout.
